Maputo, 12 August 2025 – On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, FNB Mozambique officially reopened its Franca Branch, located in the Interfranca Shopping Centre on Avenida 24 de Julho in Maputo, following a complete structural renovation. The refurbishment combined a refreshed, modern image with greater comfort and enhanced technology.
This renovation reinforces FNB Mozambique’s commitment to continuously investing in the improvement of its service channels and delivering an enhanced banking experience for its Clients. The redesign incorporates a more contemporary look to ensure faster, more personalized service.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives from the Maputo Municipality, Banco de Moçambique, members of FNB Mozambique’s Executive Committee, and the Branch’s employees. Clients and partners of the institution were also present, to witness the official reopening of the branch.
In his address, FNB’s Head of Retail, Nasser Meggi, highlighted the historical significance of the branch and explained that the refurbishment is part of the Bank’s transformation strategy:

Our commitment is clear: we are here to help.”
The modernization includes new features, as noted by the Branch Manager, Adilson Martins:
“Beyond comfort and convenience, we are also bringing technological innovation, an ATM with deposit functionality, internal wireless internet, and meeting rooms that offer clients greater privacy. The space itself is completely renovated and looks entirely different.”
Representing the President of Maputo Municipality, Alexandre Muianga, Councillor for Economic Activities and Tourism of the Maputo Municipality, underlined that this investment strengthens the city’s financial infrastructure and brings banking closer to the needs of its residents:
